Rodeo: The world's stupidest sport? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3h9T6cdT034 This video clearly shows horses at the 2007 National Finals Rodeo being shocked with a hand-held device to make them "perform". While unseen by the general audience, the tampering of bucking horses is obvious to all contestants, stock contractors, and most incredibly, to all rodeo judges working behind the bucking chutes, clearly implicating (as corrupt and inhumane) all those who knew what was going on, and did nothing to address or stop it. The footage also shows one horse injured and carried out of the arena after being shocked by Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Vice Chairman Charles Soileau. Yet another reason why I withdrew my enthusiasm and support for this so-called "sport". |
